ARMORED FIBER OPTIC SYSTEMS FOR AV-INDUSTRY

Since 2017, under the IRON OPTICS brand, optical cables and connection products are used to solve problems in the field of data transmission in installations of sound, lighting, video equipment and in rental projects in AV-industry.


The IRON OPTICS trademark was created by specialists in the development of complex projects for the theater and show industry. In our products, we make maximum use of equipment and components produced in CIS region to ensure minimum delivery times for equipment and optimal cost.

CABLES

The cables are designed on the basis of geophysical cables for studying the geological structure of oil wells. Cables are made from optical fibers by Fujikura, Corning or Draka.

OPTICAL FIBER

The cables are produced with 9/125 single-mode fiber or with OM3/OM4 50/125 multimode fiber. The 9/125 single-mode fiber is used for building long-distance communication lines. The 50/125 multi-mode fiber is used for building special-purpose communication lines.


Cables and products with single-mode fiber are marked by the SM marking. Cables and products with multimode fiber are marked by the MM marking. 

FIBER CAPACITY
The cables are produced with 4/8/12/24 optical fibers for direct termination to standard telecommunication connectors such as LC/SC/ST/FC or to specialized secure connectors such as ODC and MTP.

On request, we can produce cables with a different number of optical fibers, a different cable design or different terminal connectors according to the Customer’s technical specifications.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The cables use armor based on steel rope.
Permissible crushing load 5000 N/10 cm
Allowable tensile force of at least 1.5/2.5 kN (depending on cable type)
Operating temperature: -60 to +70 °C
The cable shell is flame retardant and UV resistant

All products are certified under Russian national regulations.

SWITCHING UNITS

Switching units are used for connecting of our optical cables and industry-standard connectors like LC,SC, FC,MTP used in sound, lighting, video digital networks.

 

Switching units are available in 2 types: for mobile use and rack-mounted. 

MOBILE CONNECTION SYSTEMS


Features:

– Steel housings;
– Input: 1x ODC type connector (4 optical fibers);
– Output: 2x protected duplex LC connectors;
– Mounting: can be hung on a truss, installed in a rack or on a DIN rail. 

RACK CONNECTION SYSTEMS WITH ODC CONNECTORS

Features:
– Steel housings;
– Inputs: from 1 to 3 ODC type connectors (4 optical fibers in each);
– Outputs: up to 6 protected duplex LC connectors.

On request, we can produce switching blocks with FC/ST type output connectors  

SINGLE-MODE FIBER PRODUCTS ARE MARKED AS "-S", MULTI-MODE FIBER PRODUCTS ARE MARKED AS "-M"
Singlemode fiber:
R24-S: 2 ODC inputs, 4 protected duplex LC outputs
R36-S: 3 ODC inputs, 6 protected duplex LC outputs

Multimode fiber OM3/OM4:
R24-M: 2 ODC inputs, 4 protected duplex LC outputs
R36-M: 3 ODC inputs, 6 protected duplex LC outputs 

RACK SWITCH UNITS (RACK-MOUNTED SYSTEMS) WITH MTP/MPO CONNECTORS)

Features:
– Steel housings;
– Input: 1xMTP12 connector (12 optical fibers);
– Output: 6x protected duplex LC connectors. 

SINGLE MODE FIBER: SM12
MULTIMODE FIBER OM3/OM4: MM12 

RACK PANELS

Features:
– Steel housings;
– 12 slots for D-Shape or LP connectors;
– 1x or 2x ODC connectors (4 optical fibers per connector)  



WELDING ACCESSORIES

Optical cross-connects IRON OPTICS W16 are designed for splicing up to 16 optical fibers in 1 splice cassette, have the ability to enter cables from 4 sides with fixation and a convenient mechanism for laying fibers inside the cross-connect.

Cables  are supplied both in coils and on reels. They are equipped with protected connecting cords (patch cords) for switching terminal equipment

PATCH CORDS

Reinforced patch cords with protected duplex LC connectors are used for switching terminal equipment
Secure duplex LC connectors are secured with a latch, and prevent accidental pulling out of the patch cord from the connectors of the terminal equipment.  

MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT

We are an official partner of the SVYAZPRIBOR plant and supply reflectometers of this brand. In addition, we supply sources and optical power meters for measuring the signal level in cable routes of various brands and other measuring equipment.

If you are new to the fiber optics and want to understand this field, you can take our training course on fiber optics systems, and get comprehensive information on building data transmission systems using this technology. Training is conducted face-to-face in an equipped training center or part-time in an online format.
